FAQs

How much do you charge?

Please contact me for a current and individual quote.

Where are you available to work?

I am based in Manchester and whilst most of my bookings are in the North West, I frequently travel further afield. Travel expenses are charged at 45p/mile.

Can I request my favourite song?

You are welcome to request anything already on my repertoire list, or if your favourite song(s) isn’t already on the list, I can arrange it for you. I include the arrangement of up to 3 additional songs within each quote, and any after this are subject to a £15 arranging fee.

Please note that I need at least 1 month’s notice in order to be able to do this.

Can we hear you before booking?

I have a number of videos available to view on my website. If there is a particular song that you would like to hear prior to booking, I am happy to make bespoke sample recordings.

Will you require anything on the day?

Other than a 1.5mx1.5m space to play in, a power socket, and a glass of water, I will have everything else I need to perform with me.

Can you play outdoors?

I will endeavour to meet any outdoor playing requests but this will be dependant on the weather on the day, and only then will a final decision be taken. Due to the value of my instrument, unfortunately it is not possible to play in direct sunlight, wind, rain, or extremes of temperature. Owing to this, a shaded area is welcomed although in the event of rain, I will not be able to perform outdoors even with shelter.

What will you wear?

I tend to wear either black formalwear or smart colourful wedding guest attire. You will have the option to request either option at the time of booking.

Do you play with backing tracks?

Yes, all of the songs on my repertoire list come with a backing track. If you would rather, most of my music can also be played without backing track though for the best musical experience, the backing tracks are recommended.

How do we make a booking?

If you would like to proceed with a booking, I send out a booking form/contract and ask for a 25% deposit to secure the date for you.

What is your cancellation policy?

Regrettably, the 25% deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances. Any cancellations 3 months or less before the event will result in 50% of the remaining balance being due. Any cancellations 1 month or less before the event will result in 100% of the remaining balance being due. In the event of a cancellation, travel expenses will always be refunded.

What happens if you are unable to play on the day?

Please be assured that this has never happened. In the unlikely event of illness or severe weather conditions making it too dangerous to travel, a suitable deputy player will be arranged if possible. If this is not possible, the full fee and deposit would be refunded to you.

Is your electrical equipment PAT tested?

Yes, my speaker is PAT tested and I am happy to provide certificates should you or your venue wish.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, I have Public Liability Insurance of up to £10 million.
