TEACHING

Eleanor is passionate about music education and has been teaching violin and music theory for the last eight years. During the 2016/17 academic year, Eleanor held the position of Graduate Musician at Oakham School where she assisted in the coaching of many of the school's ensembles and chamber groups as well as providing one-to-one help with instrumental practice, aural skills and music theory knowledge.

From 2020-2021 Eleanor taught violin for the Music in Secondary Schools Trust programme in conjunction with the Andrew Lloyd Webber Programme. Since 2019, Eleanor has held a position at the Sheffield Music Academy, one of only 12 Centres for Advanced Training in music in the country, where she teaches one to one lessons as well as running a Junior Strings performance class.

Eleanor also teaches privately with students ranging from children to adults. She is able to teach across a range of standards, from complete beginner to advanced. Eleanor is flexible in her pedagogy approach and believes in tailoring lessons to suit the individual needs and learning expectations of the pupil, should you want to work through grades, or simply play for fun. Separate adult and children's group classes are arranged frequently as an opportunity for pupils to meet other violinists and have the chance to play at informal concerts in a supportive setting.

Lessons are available in lengths of 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 1 hour. For further information or to make a teaching enquiry below or head directly to the contact page.
